To the west of the Chankurtan square, the picturesque Shadyrvan dead end leaves.

Shadyrvan - literally means "a source for ablutions" in Turkish. This will be revealed at the end of the dead end, however, in the process of restoration.

A stone wall separates the street from the railroad tracks. The masonry is very similar to the Byzantine one.

The houses of Chankurtan Street are visible through one of the courtyards.
